The Rub

Instructions

  1. Make the Rub & Rest

    Combine all spices. Pat steak dry and coat both sides generously with the rub. Let rest at room temperature for at least 30 minutes, or refrigerate uncovered overnight for deeper flavor and a better sear.

  2. Grill

    Grill over high heat, 3–4 minutes per side for medium-rare. Rest 5 minutes, then slice thin against the grain. Finish with a squeeze of fresh lime.

  3. For Taco Tuesday

    Pile your sliced carne asada into warm corn tortillas and top with toppings of your choice.
