This recipe yields approximately 24 ounces of scrub, perfect for six 4-ounce canning jars.

 

Ingredients:

  • 4 Tbsp. Pure Grapeseed Oil
  • 4 Tbsp. Honey
  • ¾ cup Granulated Sugar
  • ¾ cup Coarse Sea Salt
  • 4 Tbsp. Rombauer Chardonnay

Instructions:

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the sugar and sea salt. Whisk them together until well mixed.
  2. In a separate bowl, whisk together the grapeseed oil, honey, and Rombauer Chardonnay until they form a consistent blend.
  3. Gradually pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients, stirring continuously to integrate them well and create a homogeneous scrub. Ensure there are no lumps and the mixture has a uniform consistency.
  4. Carefully spoon the finished scrub mixture into six sterilized 4-ounce canning jars. Divide the scrub equally among the jars; each should contain about 4 ounces. Tap each jar lightly on a surface to settle the contents and eliminate any air gaps.
  5. If any mixture has spilled, wipe the rims of the jars clean. Seal each jar tightly with its lid. Label each jar with the product name, the date it was made, and a reminder to store in the refrigerator.

To Use: Remove a small amount of the scrub with a clean spoon or spatula. Massage gently into hands for about a minute, then rinse off with warm water. Check the scrub for freshness periodically and use within 3-6 months.
