Rombauer Pinot Noir

Years in the Making

After countless customer requests, we finally welcomed Pinot Noir to the portfolio in 2021—but only when we found the perfect growing region. Extensive research and blind tastings led the team to one undeniable place: the Santa Lucia Highlands. We got access to some of California’s most legendary Pinot Noir vineyards: Garys’, Rosella’s, Sierra Mar, Lemoravo, Soberanes, Escolle, Guidotti, and Boekenoogen.

We’ve crafted a blend of these prestigious vineyards to deliver a wine that Rombauer fans will love—rich dark fruit, velvety texture, and lingering spicy undertones that make you reach for another glass. Amongst these sites, the wines from Gary’s Vineyard kept jumping out as a favorite, convincing our winemaker, Richie Allen, to make a stunning single vineyard Gary’s Pinot Noir. This wine is a bright, elegant expression of Pinot Noir.
